  Dash - The smallest bar measurement, or a splash.
   
  Digestif - An after-dinner drink to stimulate the digestion process.
   
  Dark Rum - Aged rum, sometimes colored with caramel.
   
  Double - A drink that has twice the amount of alcohol as normal.
   
  Draw - A Request for a draft beer.
   
Dry - A wine term meaning the absence of sweetness. A term applied to a Martini meaning use of little vermouth. A term applied to gin meaning very low in sweetness.

  Eggnog - A beverage made of raw eggs, milk, sugar, spice, and liquor (traditionally rum, but now also brandy or whisky).
   
Espresso - Coffee made by forcing steam through the coffee grounds rather than the traditional boiling water method.

  Fruit Brandies - Brandy that is made from fruit other than grapes and is usually distilled from fruit wines.
   
  Forbidden Fruit Liqueur - A liqueur made from a particular type of grapefruit (shaddock) as well as honey and brandy.
   
  Framboise - French name for raspberry, used to refer to raspberry liqueur.
   
Fruit Liqueur - Liqueur made with any type of fruit. The most common way to make liqueur is to either let the fruits macerate in alcohol, or to distill them.

  Garnish - A fruit or item that is used to add appeal to the appearance or the taste of a drink.
   
  Gin - Created in the mid 1600's, gin, the English shortening of Genever, a Dutch word for juniper, is a neutral spirit that is made from wheat or rye. It gets its flavor from the highly aromatic blue-green berry of the juniper, an evergreen bush that is commercially grown in northern Italy, Croatia, the United States and Canada. It also gets additional flavoring from anise, angelica root, cinnamon, lemon, orange peel, coriander, and cassia bark.
   
  Golden Gin - A gin that is a dry, pale, straw colored spirit that gets its color from being aged in charred oak barrels.
   
  Gewurztraminer - A delicious medium to dry white wine high in sugar but low in acid.
   
  Graduated Measuring Cup - This measuring cup, similar to a kitchen measuring cup, enables you to stir the ingredients with a long spoon. Some cocktails have two or more versions that may include using a shaker or the graduated measuring cup.
   
  Grain Alcohol - It is ethanol, made from the distillation of fermented grains and containing more or less 10% of water.
   
  Grappa - An Italian brandy made from the stalks of grapes.
   
  Grenadine -A flavoring syrup that is red and used for coloring and sweetening drinks. It is made from pomegranates, strawberry and raspberry fruits.
 
H Honey Vodka - Honey-flavored vodka made by Palmos.
